Almost half (45%) of all Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime (1).
These illnesses are not always as obvious as a physical sickness, but must be treated just as seriously.
Our experienced psychologist Tina Marley is here to help.
With a decades of experience from private practice and counselling through to mental facilities and prisons, Dr Marley will help guide you in the right psychological direction.
Tina has been a Psychologist since 1989 and is endorsed to practice as a Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in prisons, at Graylands Hospital, on a community based early psychosis team, with adolescent and adult offenders, at a university counselling service and in private practice with a particular interest in working with people to address maladaptive schemas and psychological impacts of past issues and current stressors.
Tina uses cognitive behavioural toolkit to assist with negative symptoms of depression and anxiety and an interpersonal and schema therapy approach to most psychological issues impacting on a person’s ability to manage day to day stressors.
Tina sees adolescents and adults, couples and families (if appropriate). Prefers not to work with children younger than 12 years of age. Tina has worked in cross-cultural context, particularly with Aboriginal people and would be happy to BULK BILL health care card holders and low income earners.
